Agricultural Innovation and Export Growth
Gyeongbuk province has demonstrated remarkable growth in its agricultural sector, with fresh produce exports increasing by 15% and processed food exports rising by 6% in 2024 [1][3]. A notable success has been the ‘Berry Good Project,’ which has successfully opened new markets for Gyeongbuk strawberries in Dubai and Indonesia [4]. The province is investing 84.9 billion won in modernizing distribution facilities, including the implementation of AI and robotic equipment in smart Agricultural Product Processing Centers (APCs) [1][3]. Global Market Expansion
To enhance export competitiveness, Gyeongbuk is allocating 14.4 billion won specifically for export infrastructure development [1][3]. Education and Support Systems
The province has earmarked 194.4 billion won for free school meals and food support programs [1][3].
